Andrew Megson, managing director of retirement, Partnership said: “At Partnership, we are committed to innovation and finding new ways to interact with our customers and advisers.
“We were delighted to create the first financial services Google Cardboard app as we see retirement differently – in 3D in this case.”
The firm worked with virtual reality specialists Rewind to develop the app for mobile phone devices, which includes a 360 degree video demonstrating a 'virtual reality' introduction to its business.
Rewind described it as an “innovative multi-user 360 degree video app, for both iOS and Android platforms”.
Matthew Allen, co-founder of Rewind, said: “Virtual Reality is back in the mainstream with a bang as the technology has finally caught up with user expectations.
“Since its launch in 2014, Google Cardboard has provided companies with a relatively low cost way in which to provide customers with access to this type of technology. It was an exciting process and an interesting project which fused multiple mediums together.”
More content will be available later in the year, the company pledged.
