Sipps firm compliance manager becomes golfing champion
Helen Lowe, 51, who works for Pointon York, was victorious in the new English Amateur Women's Seniors champion.
She overcame the defending winner to scoop the championship, held at Woodhall Spa, headquarters of England Golf, last month.
Ms Lowe, who has been at Pointon York since March 2003, said: "I was shaking when the final was over and it took me time to realise I had actually won such an amazing event."

The championship is open to female amateur golfers over the age of 50 and is contested by over 100 of the country's top seniors.
Ms Lowe said: "This is my biggest-ever golfing success. I was very excited and could hardly believe it, especially because I was three-down with four holes to play, then came through to win."
"It is often said life begins at 50 and, after this, I have to agree."
As to the comparisons between her day job and the sport, she said: “Compliance requires logical thinking and so does golf.”
For the last few years she has worked three days per week, a decision she took in order to play more golf.
She has been playing since the age of 22 and has been a county champion twice during her golfing career.
