From there she qualified as a financial adviser specialising in pension transfers at FPS Mark Lloyd.
Prior to Talbot and Muir, Claire was at Sipp specialist Suffolk Life where she worked with advisers on technical issues, wrote technical bulletins for both internal and external audiences.
Brian Talbot, principal at Talbot and Muir, said: “Claire has been a breath of fresh air, her technical knowledge and forward thinking approach has helped us to drive the business to the next stage of its evolution.
“We wanted to recognise Claire’s contribution and it was an easy decision to make her a board member. She will continue to work closely with the other board members to ensure that we are providing high quality products and administration excellence to advisers and their clients.”
Ms Trott said: "It has been a really exciting time in the pensions sector since I joined Talbot and Muir, we have seen the introduction of pension freedoms and are in the run up to the new capital adequacy system for Sipp providers which will once again see a cultural shift in the sector.
“It is an important time for advisers, their clients and Talbot and Muir and I am looking forward to continuing to drive change and growth in the business."
