Neil Woodford's successor at Invesco Perpetual will be one of the headline speakers at AJ Bell's 2014 conference.
Mark Barnett, Invesco Perpetual's head of UK equities, will soon take over their two flagship UK equity funds from Mr Woodford, who is set to join Oakley Capital.
Billy Mackay, marketing director at AJ Bell, said: "After 17 years at Invesco, Mark is well known to many of the AJ Bell senior team and we're delighted he has agreed to join us on the day."
The AJ Bell Investment Conference, to be held at the Millbank Media Centre, Millbank Tower, London will be hosted by BBC presenter Nina Warhurst.

It will focus on providing advisers with the opportunity to hear from many of the UK's leading fund managers and investment industry experts.
Mr MacKay said: "The 2013 event was a fantastic day, with the 250 attendees benefiting from educational and entertaining sessions delivered by ten leading voices from the UK fund management industry.
"The after event talk by Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff was a laugh a minute insight into the mad life of one of our true sporting greats, and was an experience that will not be forgotten by those who attended.
"Many of last year's attendees commented on the quality of the speakers and we aim to once again deliver on that front."
It takes place in November.
