James Hay has announced it will close its Manchester office as part of a strategy to focus on its bigger centres.
The move will affect its six strong team there, who could transfer to other offices.
The Manchester and London SSAS admin operations will be moving to the Bristol offices, where over 30 staff are based.
The company expects its SSAS business to grow and decided it was best to move all staff in this part of its operations into the one office.

The company's chief executive Alastair Conway said despite the Manchester closure: "We have ambitious growth plans across all parts of the business."
He said: "To ensure we maintain robust scalability we're consolidating our Manchester and London SSAS administration operations and transferring them to our Bristol office, which has the capacity to grow in response to expected business volumes.
"That does mean change for the six staff currently working out of the Manchester office.
"So we're supporting employees who wish to transfer with the work to Bristol as well as working on opportunities to transfer to other vacancies within the UK group.
"All employees are focused on making the transfer seamless and are working with us until all client administration work is transferred at the end of this month."
