300 expected for first AJ Bell Investment Conference
The day-long event, hosted by BBC presenter Nina Warhurst, will focus on the range of investment options available to advisers post RDR, and how the need for "smarter investment strategies" is now more important than ever.
A J Bell says that the conference will be a chance to hear from many of the UK's leading fund managers and industry experts, speaking on a wide range of investment issues. In addition, the FCA's technical specialist Rory Percival will hold a Q&A session and AJ Bell's CEO, Andy Bell, will open and close the day with his thoughts.

The speaker line-up includes:
· Roger Bootle, managing director, Capital Economics
· Edward Bonham-Carter, chief executive Jupiter
· Terry Smith, chief executive, Fundsmith
· Thomas Rampulla, managing director Vanguard
The AJ Bell Investment Conference will be held at the Millbank Media Centre, Millbank Tower, London and will run from 8.30am until 5pm, with a further keynote speaker (to be announced) at 6pm and drinks and canapés into the evening.
Billy Mackay, marketing director of AJ Bell, said: "With such a strong speaker line-up we expect the 300 available seats to be booked up pretty quickly by advisers using the Sippcentre platform. This is the first of what we hope will be a long-running annual investment conference where advisers can join us on the day and gain insight from the leading speakers from the fund management industry."
Mr Mackay added: "The day has been built around the need for smarter investing. This more important than ever because the range of investment options available to advisers has increased significantly post RDR. With ETFs, ETCs, investment trusts and multiple share classes for funds all becoming more widely available to those building portfolios."
