Suffolk Life partners with Barclays Stockbrokers
Barclays Stockbrokers is the UK's largest execution-only stockbroker.
The new partnership enables advisers and their investors to invest via the Barclays Stockbrokers trading platform. This includes a wide range of investments including equities, fixed income, ETFs and investment trusts.
The Suffolk Life SmartSipp, which was launched in June 2011, allows advisers to switch platforms at a client level without the need for a pension scheme transfer. Off-platform investments can be made within the Sipp wrapper, either direct with Suffolk Life or via a stockbroker.

Greg Kingston, head of marketing at Suffolk Life, said: "Advisers continue to favour platforms but the market is far from mature. Advisers are already switching their clients to more suitable platforms, and as platform and fund pricing continue to settle that activity will only increase in the future. Working with Barclays Stockbrokers gives clients access to an incredibly wide choice of investments not normally available on platforms."
Catherine Penney from Barclays Stockbrokers said: "We are pleased to develop our existing relationship with Suffolk Life. The partnership with Suffolk Life's SmartSipp allows investors or their advisers to manage some, or all, of their pension funds execution-only trading platform, while enjoying access to one of the broadest ranges of investments in the marketplace – including gilts, bonds and shares, supported by proprietary research and tools - at competitive rates."
