Firm holds financial education event for 30 students
The interactive two-day “Introduction to Finance” course was attended by 30 students, at PWM’s City office.
PWM says it aimed to equip participants with “the basics of Financial Planning and investment and to provide an overview of careers paths in the City”.
The course was initially offered to 12 individuals but, due to “overwhelming levels of interest”, more than 30 students took part.
PWM says it “proved its passion for evolving financial knowledge in the next generation of young professionals with the essential financial know-how”.
Members of PWM’s team delivered the programme of presentations on topics which included: how UK tax works, types of investment, life money skills (student debt, how to get on the housing ladder, budgets and clever long-term saving), financial crime, and sustainable investing.
James Roberts, PWM managing partner, said: “Preparing the next generation for their future is something we are hugely engaged with at PWM.
“It’s a financial jungle out there and young people need trustworthy, reputable advice to follow when making these all-important decisions about their money, and when they are considering their future careers.
“We are delighted that the workshop was so well attended and received and will certainly facilitate other programmes for the next generation.”
