Payroll Executive – Bristol (2507)
Our client is an award winning pensions provider with over 40 years’ experience in the financial sector. They are an exciting Bristol based business, looking to diversify and grow in areas they are already very strong in and their knowledge of the market is second to none.
As a member of the payroll team, the payroll executive is responsible for maintaining and updating the SIPP pro payroll system and the calculation and payment of income due to the members who are taking an income from their plans. The team also resolve queries from clients, their financial advisors and HM Revenue and Customs.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Running monthly payroll through the team spirit system, ensuring all reporting requirements, including HMRC returns are expedited accurately and in a timely manner.
• Updating team spirit and SIPP pro systems with (for example) address, bank account and income changes, leavers, reversals and tax code notifications.
• Responding promptly to queries from clients, IFAs, colleagues and external agencies including HMRC, verbally and in writing, providing a high standard of customer service.
• Processing daily payments including trivial commutation payments.
• Ensuring that all work is conducted within defined JHP/IFG policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements and the company’s risk and governance framework.
The successful candidate will have good knowledge of the tax system and HMRC routines, relevant legislation and other regulatory requirements. Experience of payroll routines and reporting is essential and you will be conversant with using systems.
Salary on offer is £18k - £25k with an extensive list of benefits. There is great scope in this role to progress further, so it would suit an ambitious individual.
