Independent SSAS provider WBR Group has appointed Caitlin Southall to the newly-created role of head of SSAS proposition. She joins from Nucleus Financial and has more than 12 years of self-invested pensions experience.Before being senior technical marketing manager at Nucleus Financial, Ms Southall was a pension technical manager at Curtis Banks, where she was responsible for developing and managing pension products, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. In her new job she will report to Martin Tilley and be based at WBR Group's Wimbledon office but will spend time between all the firm’s six offices.Her role will include the review, development and promotion of the professional services offered by the group to their SSASs and sponsoring employers.Martin Tilley, chief operating officer of WBR Group, said: "Caitlin’s extensive experience and innovative approach will be invaluable as we continue to develop and expand our SSAS proposition. The firm currently administers more than 4,000 SSAS with assets of more than £4bn.
